The Graylyn Estate is a historic wedding venue located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This 85-room boutique hotel and special events venue prides itself on its experienced staff and romantic elegance. With multiple indoor and outdoor settings on its 55-acre property, the estate is dedicated to bringing each couple’s wedding vision to life.

Facilities and Capacity

Couples can accommodate up to 150 guests at this luxurious venue. For ceremonies, options include the White Garden on the southwest lawn of the Manor House, featuring a stone gazebo and year-round white blooming flowers, or the intimate Rose Garden located in the cottage-style Mews. For receptions, couples can celebrate in the Living Room Wing, accessible through a stunning 15th-century French carved doorway. This wing includes the Living Room, outdoor terraces, and the Atlantis Room. Smaller gatherings can be hosted in the Dining Room Wing, which boasts the Main Dining Room, Dining Room Porch, and a Library adorned with rare Louis XV paneling.

Accommodation

The Graylyn Estate features five distinct buildings with 85 uniquely decorated guest rooms. The Manor House, dating back to the 1930s, offers 34 rooms, including two luxurious suites. Bernard Cottage can accommodate 12 to 24 guests in nine bedrooms, ideal for the couple’s families. The bungalows provide privacy within the estate grounds, while the Mews features 35 guest rooms in a French-cottage style. Finally, Gardener’s Cottage, originally home to the estate’s gardener in 1932, offers a quaint and private space for wedding parties, sleeping 6 to 12 guests.
