Designed by award-winning architect Will Bruder, the museum offers couples a unique setting with panoramic views of the Sierra Mountains and downtown Reno. The museum staff is dedicated to providing professional, comprehensive service, helping to design and coordinate the wedding of your dreams.
Facilities & Capacity
The Nevada Museum of Art features six multi-use event spaces, accommodating weddings of up to 900 guests. The Donald W. Reynolds Grand Hall atrium, with its tastefully lit space of over 4,000 square feet, is ideal for receptions of up to 350 people. The Fred W. Smith Penthouse and Nightingale Sky Room cover nearly 5,000 square feet, featuring a banquet kitchen and floor-to-ceiling glass walls. These spaces can be combined with the Stacie Mathewson Sky Plaza, a stunning patio with approximately 5,000 square feet. For smaller weddings, the Charles N. Mathewson and Wayne and Miriam Prim Theater offer more intimate settings for up to 100 to 200 guests, with the theater often used for ceremonies. The Wayne and Miriam Prim Theater Lobby is also available for cocktail hours and general socializing.

The museum’s staff is passionate about making your wedding experience seamless and relaxing. Your wedding package includes chairs, tables, chinaware, glassware, lighting/sound, linens, and parking. Setup and breakdown services are provided. An in-house bar, fully stocked and staffed, can be arranged, along with cake cutting services.
