Overview
Operating out of Wayne, New Jersey, Kaia Marie Balcos is a dedicated professional photographer with a specialization in documenting weddings and lifestyle events. I graduated with a degree in photojournalism from Boston University, which laid the foundation for my career in photography. My journey began as an assignment photographer with Time Out! New York, where I honed my skills in capturing compelling narratives through images.
From there, I transitioned into the fashion photography industry, joining the photo production team behind some of the world’s most acclaimed photographers, including Steven Meisel, Patrick Demarchelier, and Craig McDean. This experience allowed me to work closely with top-tier professionals and understand the nuances of high-profile photo shoots. My career further expanded as a full-time photo producer for Urban Outfitters, where I managed various aspects of photo production and gained valuable insights into the retail and commercial photography sectors.
This diverse background in both documentary and fashion photography equips me with a unique perspective. I am highly attuned to the emotional intensity of a wedding day, while also being adept at managing the logistical and timing aspects of your event. My aim is to blend these skills to provide a photography experience that captures both the essence and the elegance of your special day.
