Situated in the historic North Loop neighborhood, this century-old brick and timber warehouse has been transformed into a uniquely luxurious hotel. With exceptional service, regionally inspired dining, and well-appointed rooms, the Hewing Hotel is the ideal place to host the wedding celebration of your dreams in the heart of the “Twin Cities.”

Facilities and Capacity

The Hewing Hotel can accommodate up to 176 guests for a seated dinner or 225 for a cocktail reception in the Andrews Ballroom. Once a farm implement warehouse, the hotel features exposed timber, brick, tall ceilings, and original industrial elements combined with high-end interiors. Various locations within the hotel are available for the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The Andrews Ballroom is perfect for grand gatherings, boasting large windows along an original brick wall and modern amenities. The Private Dining Room is ideal for intimate and larger celebrations, such as micro weddings, rehearsal dinners, or family-style receptions for under 48 guests.

Services Offered

Hewing Hotel is a full-service wedding venue, available for engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, receptions, and farewell brunches. The hotel offers numerous services to couples planning their nuptials in the Minneapolis area, including hotel accommodations, event planning, in-house catering and bartending, and Wi-Fi. On your wedding day, the event team will assist with setup and cleanup, providing audio and lighting equipment, chairs, tables, a dance floor, barware, flatware, glassware, linens, and china. The venue is wheelchair accessible and offers valet services for couples and their guests.

Group Room Blocks

Group discount rates are based on availability, requiring a minimum block of 10 contracted rooms per night. Room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes at checkout, and availability is not guaranteed.

Rental fees vary based on the function space, time, and season of the event. Pricing is subject to change, and applicable fees may apply.

Food & Beverage Minimums

A food and beverage minimum must be met for an event to occur on a specific date and time. These minimums may vary by day of the week and season, based on a minimum dollar amount that must be spent.

Wedding Menus

Curated packages can be selected as-is or customized through Special Enhancements. Packages are chosen at the time of contracting; otherwise, all pricing is subject to change.

Menu Tastings

Complimentary menu tastings are available for up to two guests, with dates provided approximately three months before the event. Additional fees may apply.

Wedding Coordinator

An on-site wedding specialist will assist with planning, setup, timeline, menu selections, and vendor coordination. While not required, engaging a Wedding Planner/Day-Of Coordinator is encouraged for a stress-free wedding day.

Deposit Schedule & Payment Information

Deposits are based on the contracted food and beverage minimum, rental, and room block if applicable. A non-refundable deposit equal to 30% of the total minimum event revenue is due upon signing the contract. The final payment is due up to ten business days prior to the wedding, and all deposits are nonrefundable.

Outside Vendors

Clients are provided vendor referrals for talented wedding specialists. All contracted vendors must follow hotel procedures. Access to the event space occurs no earlier than four hours before the event start time. Vendors may need to provide proof of insurance thirty days prior to the event.

Alcohol Policy

Hotel staff are the licensed authority to sell and serve liquor on the premises. State law requires guests to be a minimum of 21 years old to consume alcoholic beverages. The hotel reserves the right to refuse service and may require proper identification.

Decorations

All decorations must be approved by hotel staff. No items may be attached to walls, floors, ceilings, or windows to prevent damage. Confetti and sparklers are not permitted, and flower petals used as aisle runners must be cleaned up by the wedding planner.
