Who We Are

In early 2022, Chef Deven Bora founded Early Bird Catering, driven by a vision to bring a fresh and innovative approach to Vermont’s food and event service industry. Initially, Early Bird Catering started as a part-time venture while Chef Deven worked full-time at a brewery, scheduling pop-up events and private dinners during his off days. However, the business quickly gained momentum, prompting Deven to dedicate his full attention to it.

The team initially shared kitchen spaces with other chefs but soon realized the need for their own space to accommodate the growing business. After navigating a challenging market, they discovered the perfect location in Colchester, Vermont, just a few blocks from Chef Deven’s childhood home. Following nearly a year of catering events such as weddings, business parties, and other gatherings, the team finally secured a place to call their own.

With their new space, Early Bird Catering expanded their services to include delivery, takeout, and grab-and-go options. However, due to a fully booked schedule of events, the grab-and-go service has been postponed since March 2023. The relationships Early Bird Catering has built with vendors and clients are central to their success. They pride themselves on professionalism, quick response times, high-quality ingredients, and their support of Vermont’s local farms. The Early Bird Catering team is driven by a commitment to excellence, and they look forward to leaving a lasting impression on their clients for decades to come.

After a consultation to discuss your vision and needs, the team will design the perfect menu for your special celebration. They cater to a variety of events, including breakfast, brunch, buffets, and plated dinner services with multiple courses. Additionally, they offer a wide selection of hors d’oeuvres, small plates, and delicious desserts.

Cuisine

The head chefs and expert team at Early Bird Catering can create a menu to suit any taste. The head chef will work directly with you to design your menu, whether you prefer classic American or BBQ, or more unique cuisines such as Chinese, Italian, French, Mediterranean, or Middle Eastern. They strive to impress guests by creatively reinventing timeless, classic dishes. When focusing on ethnic cuisines, the team takes the time to execute recipes with precision. Early Bird Catering can also accommodate various dietary restrictions, including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and vegetarian options, ensuring the diverse needs of your gathering are met.
