Around the same time, she attended a funeral and thought, “I could do better than this.” The experience showed her the importance of honoring someone’s life in a deeply personal way.

This realization sparked her fascination with working alongside people during all of life’s major transitions—not just weddings but baby welcomings, transgender naming ceremonies, house blessings, and funerals.
