History and Design
Originally commissioned for Cator Woolford, a founder of Retail Credit Company (now Equifax, Inc.), the gardens were redesigned in 1996 as a series of enchanting outdoor “rooms.” Throughout the year, these gardens showcase a vibrant array of flora including dogwoods, roses, narcissi, rhododendrons, laurel, daffodils, and azaleas, some of which date back to the estate’s origins.
