Engaging Events, LLC is a wedding planning company based in Charleston, South Carolina. We guide couples through the wedding planning process, creating a wedding and reception that reflects their distinct personality and sense of style. Our expertise with design and decor allows us to add creative elements to each event, ensuring a unique experience for each client.

Experience

Cindy Zingerella is the Lead Consultant, Floral Designer, and owner of Engaging Events. With a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Hospitality Management and over 25 years in event planning, Cindy specializes in weddings. After working in Corporate, Association, and Social Markets, Cindy founded Engaging Events in 2004. She has been creating events in Charleston for 20 years and is well-versed in its diverse venues, from Plantation weddings and grand balls in Historic Buildings to laid-back Beach Weddings and Island or Resort Weddings. Cindy leads clients through the design process, using unique furnishings and lighting from the Engaging Events warehouse and industry partners to create the desired aesthetic and atmosphere. She also assists with floral selections, ensuring the perfect finishing touch for each ceremony and reception. All floral designs on our website are crafted by Cindy and her team, providing an exclusive service experience.

Cheyenne Lambert joined the Engaging Events team in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia. Her interest in leadership and event management led her to us, where she focuses on weddings. Cheyenne has experience in event lighting and the food and beverage industry, and she can guide clients through full-service event management, partial planning, or month-of coordination.

Kaely Meryanos came to Engaging Events in 2023 from Maine. With over 10 years in the service/hospitality industry, including 3 years in management and 3 years in event planning, Kaely specializes in weddings. She is passionate about creating authentic connections with clients, ensuring a joyful planning journey. Kaely provides guidance for full-service event management, partial planning, or month-of coordination.

Haley Lopez joined the team in 2023 after graduating from The University of Alabama with a degree in Hospitality Management, concentrating in Meetings and Events. Her background includes interning with a Medical Sales Company in Chicago and working with local Charleston wedding planners. Haley’s responsibilities include creating event diagrams, coordinating rental orders, and designing memorable floral arrangements, as well as managing social media.
