A Hidden Gem
The Montague Retreat Center is nestled in the rolling hills of the upper Pioneer Valley. From single-day events to full wedding weekend events, there are countless ways to put a personal stamp on your wedding! We offer both indoor and outdoor spaces across our expansive land. Our lush Ceremony Circle, nestled up to the apple orchard, sits beneath one of the oldest maple groves in Massachusetts, with a stunning view across the valley. The Stone Patio features a permanent 40’ x 50’ reception tent and a 75’ long retaining wall/bench, providing an ideal setting for outdoor celebrations. The elegant, rustic Great Hall Barn boasts chestnut beams, bamboo floors, lots of glass, and geothermal cooling, combining historic charm with modern comfort.
Exclusive In-House Caterer
Since 2022, our couples have worked with our exclusive in-house caterer, Wheelhouse, ensuring a seamless and delicious dining experience. Some of our other amenities include on-site accommodations, a wedding lounge, a yurt, an ADA-compliant lift, and accessible restrooms. In the fall of 2024, we will be adding a 10-person hot tub atop the foundation of the silo, offering a picturesque view of our southern-facing slope down to the Mill River. The property features two streams and is within walking distance of the Robert Frost Trail, perfect for nature-loving couples and their guests.
Bridal Suite
Our bridal suite, the Mountain View Suite, has a 9′ wide window overlooking the valley, offering a serene and beautiful space for the bride to prepare for her special day. In addition to our three new beautiful Cabin Retreats on site, we have added options for in-house floral design, allowing couples to further personalize their wedding experience. Wedding Season
The Montague Retreat Center hosts weddings from May through October. We are currently accepting inquiries for the 2025 & 2026 Wedding Season and will be scheduling tours during the week.
