Located in the Queen Village neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Riverside Weddings at Gloria Dei is a beautiful wedding venue with a rich history. Since 1700, couples have come to this charming wedding chapel to say “I do.” This lovingly restored church is surrounded by picturesque views and parkland scenery, creating a tranquil atmosphere for heartfelt ceremonies. All Traditions Welcome!
Facilities and Capacity
Couples who marry at Riverside Weddings at Gloria Dei can access several event spaces for their ceremony and reception. The tastefully appointed church with wooden pews and stained glass windows is the ideal spot for a traditional service. Its white wall paneling and natural lighting give the space a light and airy feel while hanging candelabras add a touch of class.
After exchanging their vows here, newlyweds can host their reception in the Riverside Hall. This intimate event space can accommodate up to 50 guests and is ideally suited to smaller weddings. Alternatively, couples can rent an outdoor tent on the church grounds for their ceremonies and receptions for up to 75 guests. Microweddings are also welcome!

A wedding venue surrounded with history and whimsy
It was so easy to work with the staff at Gloria Dei to make our daughters wedding a perfect occasion! The church is filled with light and was a perfect place to decorate with our flowers. We were blessed with clear skies and loved being able to photograph our family and guests in the historic Gloria Dei churchyard.
